LAKE ARROWHEAD

Updated: Dec 4, 2018

Lake Arrowhead was a pleasant surprise !

We were not expecting much as we just wanted to getaway for a few days with another family, find somewhere not too far from Los Angeles and relax (with kids ?!?! hum...well let’s try). Darryl was looking at me with a side eye since “Mr Mountain Man rough it when you can” was questioning this whole adventure.

Lots of great easy hikes for toddler

Beware that Lake Arrowhead is a private Lake, therefore very little public access to the beaches around the lake so you might have to drive a few miles to get a Lake access.

When we arrived, it was so kid friendly: a kiddie pool area is perfect for toddlers and a small playground by the beach access ! SCORE !!!

We also got a airbnb ( Mr Mountain Man shaking his head looking for the nearest campground ) close to the lake which had amazing views and a short drive to Lake Arrowhead Village.

The Village is beautiful, filled with restaurants and little shops for adults and a playground for kids of all ages.

Few miles away is The skypark at Santa’s Village, a North Pole Theme Adventure outdoor Park. A bit young for Kailo but perfect for kids 4 and up

Kailo enjoyed spending time with his bud Little P. Running through the hike trails right outside our cabin.

Parents enjoyed their quality time after the kids crashed to bed early from all the running around all day.

Lake Arrowhead get a thumbs up for The Banksies ! And a yearly visit !

PS: Approved by Mr Mountain Man
